Our Environmental Commitment

HE Film is specifically designed to assist in the control and cleanup of accidental oil spills to prevent or mitigate environmental damage. 

The environmental damage caused by oil spills is well documented. When an oil spill occurs on water, it is critical to contain the spill as quickly as possible in order to minimise danger and potential damage to persons, property, and natural resources. Containment equipment is used to restrict the spread of oil and to allow for its recovery, removal, or dispersal. Currently the most common type of equipment used to control the spread of oil is a deployed floating barrier, called a boom. 

HE Film has unique properties and deployment advantages that allow it to respond to oil spills rapidly and efficiently. This said however, HE Film, saturated or not, faces the same challenges of responsible disposal as other oils spill response products. At Oil Containment Systems Inc our environmental commitment is to ensure that HE Film saturated or not is disposed of responsibly in line with all relevant national and international regulations.
